27096 (NXX451) spent around 6 months of early 2009 out of action, awaiting a new engine. A transplant effected, it was also completely repinted before re-entering service. In this late mid October 2009 view, it was fresh from repaint. | Dennis Javelin | (29)
It is believed that this 'N'reg Javelin served overseas with the Armed Forces, hence its fitment with A/C | Dennis Javelin | (21)
MYSTERY SOLVED!! This chassis also appeared in 1989, at the same time as some life-expired Atlanteans had been relieved of their bodywork by Dunsmore. This one is however a Fleetline, having once been Fife Scottish FRF34 (NXA634H). This had been bought for parts, having latterly been a non-psv Infobus, but the lowheight 'D' type body yielded few parts suitable for the full height 'AL' body carried by the Glasgow Atlanteans. | Help Required! | (15)
A great photo highlighting the rear advertising carried by Rennies ex Tyne & Wear PDR2/1 Atlanteans. L to R are WTN 652, 647, 651, 641 and 661H with former Fishwick ATB598A and TTE642D (side on) interloping. Photo courtesy and copyright Bob Dickson. | Older images - the good old days | (9)
16412 (M312DGP) was due to join Rennies fleet during August 2009, and is seen here alongside similar 16413, both having been prepared for use. Its stay was short, being transferred to Strathtay within a week. | Stagecoach arrivals | (8)
